We got a very mixed bag of snaps from Axxess Day 3 - everything from full body shots to partial torsos. The latter naturally make it somewhat difficult to review per se, but being the fashion lover I am, I try to at least make a comment or two :).
Charlotte went for a classic combination of red and black, pairing a halter cropped top with stunning red wide-leg pants. She gets huge props for trying out the wide leg style and I really love how she makes it work. The key to the trend is defining the waist one way or another (which allows the pants to work their long, leggy magic). Charlotte's choice of the crop top accomplishes this perfectly. This shade of red is glorious - intense and attention getting. By doing it as the larger, bolder piece in her look , Charlotte gave it extra significance and made the whole outfit stand out. Leave it to Alicia to slay the life out of an Axxess outift! I LOVE this look - her burgundy suede overall dress (yes - a dress with an overall top. This one is the Jameson Leather Overall Dress x For Love & Lemons via Mulaner. A few also available in black at lexandlynne.com) is super fun in and of itself, but with studs? Fierce, baby! So fierce! But Her Foxiness doesn't stop there. She adds trendiness to uniqueness and fierceness by layering an off-shoulder tank underneath it for a completely incredible casual look. This is how you make laidback be totally NOT boring! A short collar pendant necklace and a low bun complete this amazing look. Nia went for a black monochrome outfit, which is solid throughout. She does an excellent job mixing textures for visual interest by topping a knit tee and black leggings with a leather-panelled knit waterfall jacket. I haven't seen enough of her fashion choices to know if all black is something she gravitates to often. If that's her preference and what she enjoys, that rocks! But I do get sad when I think that a number of curvier ladies stay with black because they've been told 18 million times over that it's slimming. The way an outfit looks on the body is much more about cut, fabric and visual geometry than color. So, curvy chicks, if you love color , this is my personal plea to you: don't shy away from it! Have some fun with your palette :) Summer kept things light with a blush tank (or tank dress) with tonal striping. A pretty ivory lace choker accented the look. One thing that I love very much about this piece is that it definitely seems to not be a coord set :). Also, the softness of the combination is gorgeous for hot weather -light neutrals always have a dewy fresh quality.

Gah...so much fashion, fashion everywhere! It's prom season ...ok, late prom season...but I really wanted to get some inspiration up for any and all of you who are stuck...or those of you like me who just love seeing fancy looks and dreaming about when you can wear things like this :). So if this inspires you for today, tomorrow, next weekend or light years into the future, it's all good with me :) . Enjoy!
If you feel in love with the sporty, streetwise vibe of Becky's mesh tank, you might be surprised to find out that it's from Free People. The styling is a bit of a departure for the boho brand, but makes a nice transitional style between their trademark look and their new FP Movement line. Available in either ivory (like Becky's) or black, the piece's swingy fit makes it perfect for adding dimension and an athletic spin to simple tanks and cami's this summer. Becky layered white underneath for a crisp vibe, but brights and neons would work just as well. The Get It Mesh tank is available here.
There was a ton of great fashion at Wrestlemania Axxess - three days worth!
Maryse kicks things off with a classy, neutral look, pairing a sleeveless mock-neck shell with a khaki mini pencil skirt. I love the cute tie-waist detail of her skirt that highlights her waist! She completed the look with her Valentino wedge sandals. The styling feels light, bright and fresh. Naomi went very casual for this event, going with a denim-on-denim combination of a classic jacket an cut-off shorts. She spiked the look with a bright lime tee emblazoned with her "Feel The Glow" logo. The laidback feel of this outfit is appealing and works well on Naomi, although I would have loved to see her add a touch more polish for this type of event. Even making a minor switch from shorts to full-length jeans would have upgraded the formality of the look. Becky styled a sporty, chill ensemble which showcased a mesh tee over blue denim. Black piping enhanced the athletic vibe. The mesh creates great texture that adds visual interest to this pared-down look, making it a great choice by Becky. The look has punch, even those the premise is uncomplicated. Black or white sneakers would complete this styling perfectly. Eve went for a printed sleeveless blouse, paired with toast-hued shorts. She topped the whole look with a sleeveless open jacket. The print adds complexity to this primarily neutral look, but it isn't my favorite choice. The floaty silhouette contrasts somewhat awkwardly with the sleeker jacket and shorts. She gets huge props for me for the trendy jacket. I'd have loved to see her go with a slimmer, bodycon shape underneath. She intelligently balances the look with leg-lengthening nude, suede pointy pumps. Welcome to one of the moments each year where Diva-Fierce is totally dedicated to ring gear! We love fashion in all its forms, so fashion that's also a performance costume that you can also do crazy athletic stuff in gets our heart-eyes flashing! Last year, we started naming a Best-Of list for the top 5 looks that sent us head-over-stilettos and we'll be doing that again this year. So, get comfy, loves! We've got a lotta gear to cover :)
Before we get into actual gear let's talk about Beth Phoenix. She gravitated back to black for the Wrestlemania 33 event, something that doesn't surprise me, even though I love her in color. I would be more disappointed, except that this black Herve Leger gown looks amazing on her! The designer is known for simple bandage dresses and this is a prime example of his trademark. What makes it special is the sweethart neckline, which was an inspired choice by Beth. Her long, flowing hair was polished, but casual. She again showed her preference for understated jewelry, accenting the neckline with a subtle, small-scale pendant. Stephanie continued her glam Wrestlemania ways from last year. Although that studded ensemble will be a challenge to top, this one is a solid effort. She paired a graphic tank with black leather leggings and a studded belt. If you have been lusting after those gorgeous boots, they are Stuart Weitzmans, with extra glam added by Leather Rebels, a London, UK-based maker of customer leather championship belts, including the new NXT belts. Also, Steph with a thumb ring?! I love it! We don't often see her do crazy, rock-star-inspired things with her jewels. Her choices tend to be classic, precious-stone pieces, not statement-making costume jewelry. I'm thrilled at how she uses this look so confidently - and appropriately! It helps to cement the impression created by her clothing. And the killer chain detail at her hip doesn't hurt either ;). I love how she steps outside of her usual style home base to go all-in for a style like this. Her smooth, pin-straight hair adds a nice dash of fierceness to her outfit. A number of Divas came out to Wrestlecon this year, with the result that we got to see some fantastic fashion! Barbie was fierce and trendy in her black monochrome look, which paired a lace bodysuit from Gooseberry Intimates with black skinny jeans (x J Brand) and simple but sexy ankle strap sandals. A slim gold choker added just a hint of shine to her look. My favorite part, though? Her hot pink fold-over clutch from YSL! I love the way that shock of color enlivens this all-black outfit. Noelle also wore black, choosing a plain, short-sleeved bodycon LBD. Her sneakers gave the piece a fun grunge/90's twist, while also being comfortable for a day-long affair like Wrestlecon. The informal feel of this dress, due to the rib knit and minimalist silhouette, lends itself perfectly to this kind of laidback combination. Like Barbie, Michelle went the bodysuit route. Her pick was an olive-beige version with super high-cut thighs, which showed above her lower waisted jeans, creating the effect of a cut-out. It also incorporated a lace-up detail at the sides. This look isn't my favorite of Michelle's- it's a tad blander than her usual laidback street-glam style; I'm missing a studded belt or a pile of crystal bangles. We don't get to see her shoes choice (sad face), but based on what I know of Michelle, I'd place good money on OTKs or fierce ankle booties. If you feel like you got left short of your glam fix, Maria's look should fix that for you. Her all-over sequined ivory gown was nothin' but glam! The deep-v silhouette brought plenty of sexiness too. Her long, loose curls look amazing! She chose to keep the outfit monochrome by finishing it with ivory platform heels. I feel like you have to be careful with platforms right now because they're a little of fashion's radar and they can feel somewhat passé, depending on how you pair them. This bold, but simple dress takes a lot of its vibe from the shoes, so I'd rather have seen Maria go with a pointy single-soled pump here, whether in ivory or nude. On a complete 180 spin from Maria's fancy styling is Nikki's dramatic, sporty look from the day after Wrestlecon. She paired black track pants with side stripes in her trademark white and red with a sheer tank that showed her brassiere. While I wouldn't suggest recreating this combo in non-Diva life, Nikki rocks the h**l out of it. Her red backwards baseball cap adds a bit more color and attitude and her wide choker punctuates the styling with tough, fearless trendiness.
The Lady Superstars took a varied approach to International Media Day, with style ranging from casual fierce to semi-formal. Nikki falls into the first category with this combination of a sequined navy bomber and leather pull-on shorts. I love the way she used the jacket as a top and zipped it to just the right height to show enough..but not too much. Also, I nearly always love me some sequins - especially when contrasted with less formal elements as Nikki does here. Suede OTKs finish off the styling. A much as I love OTKs, I can't help thinking that, viewed via this angle, I'd like to see how playing up the sporty vibe with sneakers instead would have worked out. Becky's look is straightforward: classic white tee, paired with black skinny jeans.. She adds a nice - an unexpected- dash of polish with a black suiting blazer and I love that she chose to go in that direction, instead of the more common classic leather jacket. Black high-top sneakers round off her look. Emma and Charlotte went a bit more formal with their outfits. Emma wore a jaw-dropping black dress embellished with grommet details that made a sexy, peekaboo pattern. I love the way this piece combines a daring, grungy attitude with a classic silhouette...and looks wicked cool in the bargain! This fantastic choice of Emma's is definitely a highlight for me. I wish we'd gotten to see her shoes, but I'm voting for black lace-up sandals. I'm a huge fan of Charlotte's look as well. This black romper melded trendy and feminine. The material is polished, but still flows so that it kisses her curves, which is a flawless look for her. The lace details at the shoulders break up the black and add subtle, but important visual interest. Charlotte completed the look with nude pointy toe pumps. No surprises on that choice, as they have been a fave of hers the last few months, but they complete this look in just the right way - with polish and fierceness!
